St. Nicholas Abbey & Heritage Railway

Barbados Barbados

All aboard! Ease into a fun adventure immersed in the essence of Barbados beginning with a scenic drive up to St Nicholas Abbey. The great house is one of just three remaining Jacobean mansions in the Western hemisphere and has also been lovingly restored to depict the golden days of Barbados’ Sugar Production. After gaining some insight into the rum making process and technique, your discovery begins onboard Barbados’ newest attraction; The St Nicholas Abbey Heritage Railway!  Take in the panoramic views over the rugged Atlantic coastline as the train winds its way through the plantation fields and mahogany woods to Cherry Tree Hill. Once there you’ll be able to enjoy the spectacular views over the east coast of the island. After making the most of this wonderful photo opportunity, you’ll head back to St Nicholas Abbey before ending your journey with a scenic drive along the coast through the rolling countryside.
